Meatloaf is one-dimensional with only one kind of meat.
This is a meatloaf fact, a bit of received meatloaf wisdom passed down from chef to chef through the ages cook to cook, mother to daughter father to son, head cook to sous-chef, teacher to student, me to you. It is your duty now to go forth and pass this powerful meatloaf knowledge onto those around you less advantaged in meatloaf wisdom than yourself.
This meatloaf has four types of meat; pork sausages made earlier, lamb cut finely dices, ground beef and bacon, but two will be enough to break with the drudgery of one-dimensional meat loafs and meatballs.
Oddly, there are no onions or garlic. Four large eggs, and sourdough breadcrumbs. Tinned diced tomato but no catsup. Regular meatloaf flavors, Worcestershire, soy, oregano.
One of my sisters made stuffed shells - white and red sauce.
ReplyDeletethat's probably not what the sauces are called but that was the color.
The ones with the red sauce had meat on them the white ones had green leafs and cream I believe.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so good. Though it might look as good as it does as much as because it's 12:37 and I didn't eat breakfast.
