More cuke quotes. (Scroll down, oh do! These are much better; but then, I love cucumbers, in almost any form, even when bitter.)
Wow, reader, what a bunch of haters. When I was a kid I saw my older brother peel and slice a cucumber, remove the seeds, cut the rest into strips and douce them with soy sauce. I'm certain he got the idea from maki sushi my dad introduced us to. I thought, "brilliant!" What a clever snack. I've been doing that ever since.
That does sound good--maybe we'll try that today at snack break.
