See, that's all there is to it ↑.
Mostly vegetable matter, balanced with some protein, the opposite of usual. It is not pretty. It is actually ugly.
So to compensate for this shortcoming the food designer me and the photographer me decided to add some color. I do not want any raspberries or blueberries or mint tonight, but the plate needs color so there you go.
These things are hard to grow. Persnickety about certain things. Farmers go out there into the field and turn up the branches and tie them over the white flower buds to protect the center from sun.
Or they'll turn yellow, which is fine by me.
That's a lot of extra work especially for a large commercial operation, attention given to each specific plant that produces only one head.
Bless the farmers who gave this head of cauliflower its special attention. Thank you.
You'd think the things would be something like $30.00 each for all the special attention but they are actually rather inexpensive.
Then the whole thing is photographed obliquely with a Nikon 14-24mm wide angle lens. The thing is a monster and not made for this type of close up of two inches. But here it is anyway with all its weird permutations.
