Spaghetti with meat sauce

The sauce is underneath. It's a hidden treasure made from a thick slice of meatloaf cooked previously along with additional garlic, tomato sauce, and water from boiling the pasta. 

Basil from two Aerogardens. The basil grows first and fastest. Plants in two Aerogardens have been trimmed three times as the rest of the herbs get started. 

When the basil bolts it's over.

They can be kept going but the plant wants to die. Plus its roots tend to take over the entire basin. They're outrageous. I suppose the roots can be trimmed along with the plant to keep the whole thing in check. 

Each plant has its own cycle. It's only full and gorgeous and balanced with all plants for a short while. Other times each plant is growing and dying at its own pace.
