Durum wheat pasta with garlic, butter and shrimp, strawberries

Jennifer came over this morning and caught me up. Bless her heart.

Bless it, I said. Bless it.

I called this place last. After spending the last few months trying to get everyone else to deliver semolina flour; Marczyk, Sprouts, King Soopers three times. I do not know what everyone else's problem is. I've been making pasta with regular a/p flour and bread flour the whole time  but it just isn't right.  I must admit it, this place is ace.

Not only do they have semolina at the best price around, honestly, they do this like properly trained ninjas. I think they use slave labor from China. I waited and waited then suddenly the bags magically appear without a sound. No buzz to enter, no knock on the door, no nothing.

And everything exactly right except for some reason they simply cannot handle Napa cabbage even though it is offered. They NEVER have it. Weird. I am stumped. Maybe their Chinese slaves eat it all. It's very popular in China.

So I bought two. What the heck. Why not?

Egg in the pasta and egg on the pasta. This here is a two-egg deal.

Two precious earth chicken eggs.

Two!

No. Only flour and egg.

This is a lot of garlic for one guy but I don't care. Lockdown. I do what I want.

Finally. Pasta made with the right kind of flour.
