Half a leek wrapped with ham covered with Béchamel and Gruyère and baked.
This Béchamel has vermouth, cayenne, salt/white pepper.
The plate is placed in 350℉ oven until the leek is done and the cheese on top is melted and browned to desired darkness.
A salad dressing is prepared while the gratin is baking. The salad so simple it assembles itself.
