cinnamon rolls

I've been making these since I was ten and I was never satisfied with results. Another boy instructed me to use Bisquick and those were terrible. I'm good at making bread but these rolls were never tender. Always too bread-like. I thought the dough needed sugar. Finally, I asked the internet and was answered directly. Use mashed potato in the dough. And that changed everything. Same thing with hamburger buns. Even instant mashed potatoes work. 

Jumbo raisins
Pecans
Fresh pineapple
Cinnamon
Brown sugar
Vanilla in frosting
Almond extract (scant 1/4 teaspoon in frosting)
