Smoked turkey croque madame

Bread slightly toasted under the broiler.

Mustard.

Deli smoked turkey.

This cheese comes in ultra thin. Boo on that. This is regular cut.

The cheese would be better as a thick sauce. As fondu. That way it can include wine and it would contribute more moisture. The turkey is rather dry.

Tomatoes are kept raw

Why is the sandwich called madame when croque monsieur is the same thing, (ham) sandwich but without the egg. In the United States when it comes to labeling food male/female versions of the same thing, the male version is more substantial, but not so with contrasting versions of French ham and cheese sandwiches. Why? Because eggs are female things is my guess.
