Eh, why not? They sell the seed packets at the same place where the chicken eggs are.
Did you know the Shakers invented seed packets? They invented a lot of things. They were quite industrious while they lasted, the oldest Shaker recently died. The thing I learned from them is that religious sects that forbid marriages bring with them the seeds of their own destruction.
I thought cardboard containers would be better for this, and maybe they are, seems they could be planted directly, but in my case they attracted tiny flies that got in the dirt multiplied like crazy and ruined the project. The insects really like wet cardboard.
