The dots are grated nutmeg. It goes so well with cream sauces.

The creamy cheese sauce has sharp American fortified with Asiago and is hardly hot at all with very little cayenne. Onion and garlic in liquid form processed with slurry because I didn't want non-potato lumps. 

Aged balsamic on the green beans. Very aged, like older than your kids probably. Thick and sticky like syrup, but nothing at all like any syrup you've ever tasted, unless you've tasted aged balsamic.
