Five little red potatoes

Fail.

     What went wrong?

I don't want to talk about it.

Come on. Help a brother out. It looks good. Why fail?

Mmmmm.

     How else will we know?

Mmmmm.

     Come on.

It's a good idea. Except maybe for the dates part. Yesterday I cooked three of these little bitty potatoes this way but in water and in the microwave for four minutes and they were great so I tried it again dolled up with better ingredients and in the oven instead of the microwave, two improvements, but they did not work well together. The potatoes are waxy so they contribute no starch to a sauce. The milk and cheese stayed separate. Worse, the first few bites go in wet but they make the mouth dry. The potatoes are swallowed dryer than when they were masticated. Weirdest thing. And the next few bites the same thing. And the additional sweetness is just weird. When I smash the potatoes to soak up the liquid then it blends better while the whole plate looks like a dog's breakfast, not that there is anything wrong with that, but a different kind of potato is better and don't ever use any dates.

     Did you eat it?

Yes. Most of it.

     Then it's not a fail.

Yes, fail. Don't ever do this.
