Baked apple


* tart apple
* butter
* brown sugar
* cinnamon

That's all. Sort of like a little pie except without the superfluous crust and without the ridiculous cohesive goop.

I'd try it without the cinnamon. All the textures that the various types of crusts and custards provide don't bother me so much as the fact that people don't taste apples anymore in apple dishes. Apples taste good; let apples taste like apples.
